Most amateur astronomers fall in love with the telescope first-

The telescope is what catches the light and creates the pictures we see with our eyes or cameras – 

but sooner or later we all learn that a solid and precise mount is the foundation for all observations….

On this site we will gather information about telescope mounts and how to use them. Focus will be on the possibilities of modern Alt-Az mounts but other mount types will be covered too.
